The external surfaces on your property are subject to weathering, pollution and daily use, which can lead to a build-up of dirt, debris and staining and most of the time, the rain isn't enough to keep these surfaces clean. In addition to just dirt there is also organic matter such as algae, lichen, moss and black mould etc, some external surfaces are more suseceptaible to these organic infectants e.g. render, concrete and wood as they are more pourous, the first sign of such a thing is when the surface bcomes green, black or has black/white spots, you may have tried to clean the affected area yourself but within a few weeks it comes back. The traditional external surface cleaning method is to use a pressure washer, and this method works well, but doesn't always get deep down into the surface, and whilst the cleaning results look good for a while, it's not long-lasting, and there are several drawbacks. This process was originally developed in the U.S to clean roofing without causing any damage, is suitable for the majority of external surfaces and will also remove dirt, grime and especially organic matter both at surface level and deep down, ensuring organic infections have been removed from the affected surface. 

When it comes to cleaning external surfaces using softwashing, we apply the solution with a spray and/or gentle brush, allow it to work for several minutes and then rinse of as required with no damage to the existing surface, if the affected area is high up e.g. wall render then we would use high-reach poles to access and clean safely from ground level. Once the softwash cleaning process has completed, an additional treatment can also be applied, which will aid in the cleaning process and ensure the surface stays cleaner for longer.
